Mitchell passed away last night.  He lost his battle with cancer, but he was able to do it on his terms.  He fought until the last moment he was with us.  We will love him always.

You and your girls are in the thoughts and prayers of all of Mitchells's CASE colleagues. We on the board and conference committee will tremendously miss our dear friend and colleague. I must tell you that Mitchell talked about you and the girls all the time...clearly your family was everything to him. And I will miss the funny guy who gave me a hard time at board meetings and always had me in stitches. Thank you for sharing him with all of us. Terri Carlos, CASE DVII Conference Chair

Brandie,

You, your girls, and the rest of your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Like Terri, I have been part of Mitchell's professional life for over 7 years . . . first as a Pac-10 colleague when I was at WSU and, most recently, as a senior consultatnt with RuffaloCODY, a partner with the UA Foundation. He brought so much to our profession but, more importantly, was always most eager to talk about you and the girls. I forget sometimes that I don't even know you! He was such a joy and his attitude, even in the end, was remarkably positive. While he was so private about his illness, his fortitude and passion for life were exemplary. May you find strength and peace in all of the friends and loved ones who surround you, physically and in spirit.

Warmest regards,

Jennifer Dean
Vice President and Senior Consultant, RuffaloCODY.
